HOW DOES TELEHEALTH WORK?
As of 30th March 2020 all Australians who are eligible for Medicare will have access to Telehealth consultations with their GP. Once you have booked your Telehealth appointment, a member of our team will contact you 10 minutes prior to your appointment to confirm your details, medicare number, email address and preferred pharmacy to fax scripts to. Your Doctor will call or skype you at your appointment time. If your Doctor deems it necessary to see you in person they will arrange a follow up face to face consult.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO:
Once you have booked your Telehealth appointment, a team member will call you on the day prior to your appointment to confirm:
- Your details
- Medicare number
- Email address and your permission to communicate via email for sending correspondence.
- Preferred pharmacy for us to fax scripts to.
- Ensure that your nominated phone is free at your appointment time.
- Caller will show as either an ‘UNKNOWN’ or ‘PRIVATE’ number in line with our Privacy Policy.
